Türkiye's Hurjet project faces delivery delays

A significant update has been announced regarding the Hurjet project developed by (Turkish Aerospace Inc.).

The delivery date of the project has been postponed by two years and the final delivery date has been delayed by one year.

Rumors indicate, that under the project, four Block-0 (B0) aircraft are planned to be delivered in 2027, while 12 Block-1 (B1) aircraft of the same configuration are expected to be delivered in 2028-2029.

TAI's statements on Hurjet

TAI General Manager Mehmet Demiroglu had previously hinted at these developments.

However, the originally stated delivery date of 2026 has now been officially moved to 2027.

The progress of the project is expected to continue as planned, particularly if there are no issues with engine supply from the United States.

The aircraft is regarded as a crucial step in line with Türkiye's goals to enhance its domestic and national air power.
