Erdogan announced that Türkiye has initiated efforts within the United Nations framework to find a solution to this issue, advocating for a comprehensive arms embargo against Israel.
He stated that the number of countries supporting this call is increasing daily, expressing hope that the "Humanity Alliance" will succeed in this initiative and pave the way for lasting peace.
Erdogan highlighted that, despite challenges, Türkiye is committed to extinguishing the flames of conflict. He noted that calls for an arms embargo against Israel have also emerged from countries such as Italy, Spain, Ireland, and France, indicating growing international concern over Israel's reckless use of disproportionate force.
He urged that it is imperative for Türkiye to lead a coalition of countries to raise a stronger voice regarding human rights and international law. He emphasized the necessity of strengthening diplomatic efforts, developing alternative perspectives, and increasing international pressure to stop what he termed a "terrorist state" that threatens humanity.
The president mentioned the possibility of discussions with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad while reaffirming Türkiye's commitment to Syria's territorial integrity.
He highlighted that this commitment is crucial for combating terrorism while securing Türkiye's borders. Erdogan described the escalating instability in the region as a "ring of fire" and urged the Syrian government to recognize the benefits of normalizing relations with Türkiye.

Erdogan reiterated Türkiye's commitment to mediating in the Ukraine conflict, emphasizing efforts to achieve a lasting cease-fire following his discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Erdogan also addressed Türkiye's historical ties with China, stating, "We have longstanding connections with China. We are the heirs of two great civilizations that have influenced each other over time. We are building our relations on these foundations while working to create deep-rooted new ties."
He acknowledged China's significant role in global politics and trade, suggesting that Türkiye could take new steps to develop its strategic partnership with China. Erdogan mentioned ongoing discussions with Chinese counterparts about increasing bilateral trade volume and exploring investment opportunities.
He announced an anticipated visit from Chinese President Xi Jinping to Türkiye, followed by a reciprocal visit from Turkish officials, emphasizing that this will occur in the near future.
In response to questions about the recent discussions surrounding increased funding for Türkiye's defense industry, particularly concerning air defense systems, Erdogan clarified the distinction between Türkiye's Iron Dome project and Israel's Iron Dome.
He emphasized that the S-400 program is a separate initiative, stating, "We do not consider external opinions when making decisions about the S-400's next phase. The Turkish government will make those decisions independently."
Erdogan highlighted that the Iron Dome program is fully under Türkiye's control and will proceed according to its timeline. He noted that despite opposition criticism regarding budget allocations, Türkiye will secure its own resources for defense initiatives.
"Our primary focus is to meet our own needs comprehensively," he asserted, reinforcing Türkiye's commitment to advancing its defense capabilities through solid steps.
