Türkiye condemns Israel's violations in Syria

The statement, released on Tuesday, criticized Israel for entering the separation zone between Israel and Syria and occupying morea areas in Syrian territory.

The 1974 Separation of Forces Agreement, which was brokered by the United Nations following the Yom Kippur War, established a buffer zone between Israel and Syria.

In its official statement, Türkiye expressed strong disapproval of Israel’s actions and reaffirmed its support for Syria’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and political unity.

We strongly condemn Israel's entry into the Israeli-Syrian separation zone and its advance into Syrian territory in violation of the 1974 Separation of Forces Agreement.

At this sensitive time, when there is a possibility of achieving the peace and stability that the Syrian people have been longing for for many years, Israel is once again displaying its occupying mentality.

We resolutely reiterate our support for Syria's sovereignty, political unity and territorial integrity.
