Simon Kigondu, President of the Kenya Medical Association, disclosed to AA that the number of fatalities in Tuesday's protests has increased. He stated that the deaths occurred nationwide, primarily in the capital Nairobi, following police firing on demonstrators who opposed tax regulations and breached the parliament building.

It was reported that numerous individuals were injured during the protests, with at least 20 in critical condition, and many others were taken into custody.

Authorities expressed concerns over a possible rise in the death toll, as protests in certain areas resulted in looting incidents and significant property damage.

Meanwhile, Chrysostom Xavier Akhaabi, a lawyer from the Kenya Law Society, has filed a lawsuit against Defense Minister Aden Duale, alleging that the military used disproportionate force against the demonstrators.
