US Republican presidential candidate and Former President Donald Trump is unharmed after gunshots were reported near his vicinity, according to a statement from his campaign on Sunday. The statement provided no further details regarding the incident.
At the time of the statement, it was unclear where Trump was located, and campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung did not immediately respond to requests for comment. However, The Wall Street Journal reported that Trump was in Palm Beach, where his Mar-a-Lago Club is based.
This incident follows a previous assassination attempt on Trump, which took place in Pennsylvania on July 13, during which the former president sustained injuries.
