A European human rights organization has called on the international community to pressure Israel to halt what it describes as an "inhumane aid mechanism" in Gaza following deadly attacks on Palestinians seeking humanitarian assistance.
The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor said in a statement that Israel has killed or wounded approximately 230 Palestinians through its aid distribution system in Gaza.
The organization accused Israel of forcing Gaza's 2.2 million Palestinians to face "death by starvation" for three months before establishing an aid mechanism that provides limited assistance by "deliberately placing it in dangerous areas and failing to organize it properly."
The rights group said Israel's aid distribution system has created "chaos and social conflict" among Palestinians in Gaza.
"The international community must urgently and decisively force Israel to stop its inhumane aid mechanism in Gaza," the organization stated.
The statement highlighted concerns about rising death tolls due to Gaza's collapsing health system and Israel's obstruction of medical aid, noting that those wounded in Israeli morning attacks were in critical condition.
According to the rights monitor, Israeli forces conducted attacks at two separate locations in Gaza, targeting Palestinians attempting to receive humanitarian aid, killing at least 31 people and wounding 176.
The allegations come as Gaza faces severe shortages of food, medical supplies, and other necessities amid the ongoing conflict.
The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor has previously documented what it calls violations of international humanitarian law in the territory.
