A drone strike sparked a fire at a Wildberries warehouse complex in Russia's Vladimir region on Monday, injuring two people, according to the regional governor, an account that contradicts the company's own initial statement, which said no injuries had been reported.

Vladimir Gov. Alexander Avdeyev wrote on Telegram that a drone attacked a warehouse complex in the region's Sobinsky district, causing structural damage and a fire, with employees evacuated.

Avdeyev said emergency response teams were working at the scene and that the risk of further drone attacks in the area remained, urging residents to take precautions.

In a follow-up statement, Avdeyev said the drone strike injured two people: a young man sustained a head injury, described as not serious based on preliminary information, and was being transported by ambulance to a hospital; a woman from a neighboring settlement sustained a minor leg injury that did not require hospitalization.

Wildberries' statement on recent Ukrainian drone attack

Wildberries said on Telegram, "Due to an attack on the company's logistics facility in the Vladimir region, a fire broke out. People have been evacuated. Firefighting teams are working at the scene. Preliminarily, there are no casualties. Logistics chains have been restructured, and the receipt of deliveries and shipment of orders are being carried out at other facilities."

According to Ukrainian Telegram channel Exilenova+, the targeted facility is one of Wildberries' largest logistics hubs, covering approximately 171,900 square meters, and plays a key role in distributing goods between the Moscow region and central, northwestern and northern parts of European Russia.

Ukraine has recently conducted a series of drone strikes on warehouses and logistics facilities belonging to Wildberries, Russia's largest e-commerce platform.
