The summit's core diplomatic day unfolds through a sequence of formal events beginning with early-morning statements and concluding with a press conference in the mid-afternoon.
The day starts at 8:00 a.m. with a doorstep statement by the NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte, followed at 8:15 a.m. by doorstep statements from allied heads of state and government.
At 10:45 a.m., the welcome ceremony begins, with the secretary general and the President of Türkiye individually greeting each arriving head of state and government.
The official photo of all allied heads of state and government is scheduled for 11:00 a.m.
The North Atlantic Council then convenes at the level of heads of state and government at 11:15 a.m., the summit's main formal session.
NATO's secretary general will hold a press conference at 3:00 p.m. at the Main Press Theater, located at the 2nd floor of the IMC at the Bestepe Presidential Compound.
Some heads of state and government may choose to hold their own press conferences from 3:30 p.m. onward.
