Russia, Ukraine exchange 307 prisoners in Türkiye-brokered deal

Russia and Ukraine have exchanged 307 prisoners as part of an ongoing swap agreement facilitated by Türkiye, according to a statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The exchange, which follows talks held in Istanbul, took place under a previously agreed 1,000-for-1,000 framework, the ministry said. Officials noted that the prisoner exchange process between the two countries remains ongoing.

No further details were shared regarding the identities or conditions of the exchanged individuals.
