Türkiye condemns deadly Pakistan train attack in Balochistan

Türkiye’s Foreign Ministry said it was deeply saddened by the loss of life in the terrorist attack targeting a passenger train in Pakistan’s Balochistan province and strongly condemned the assault.

The ministry issued a written statement regarding the attack in Pakistan.

The statement said Türkiye was deeply saddened by the casualties caused by the terrorist attack targeting a passenger train in Balochistan province on Tuesday.

“We strongly condemn this heinous attack, wish Allah’s mercy upon those who lost their lives, and extend our condolences to their families and to the people of Pakistan,” the statement said.

The ministry emphasized that attacks targeting regional peace and stability are unacceptable under any circumstances and reiterated solidarity between Türkiye and Pakistan in the fight against terrorism.

Attack kills at least 23 in Balochistan

At least 23 people were killed and 70 others injured in an explosion on a railway line in Pakistan’s Balochistan province.

Police said the blast occurred while the train was traveling toward a military cantonment area in the city.
