Chinese e-commerce platform Temu has launched a local seller program in Türkiye, aiming to provide domestic businesses with new growth opportunities while improving delivery speed and product variety for Turkish consumers.
The move follows Temu’s completion of local entity registration and the establishment of its Istanbul office in June, upon the request of the Turkish Trade Ministry. The company stated that it has begun hiring staff and forming partnerships with logistics and enterprise resource planning (ERP) providers to strengthen its operations in the country.
Under the initiative, registered Turkish businesses with locally stocked inventory are able to sell directly to customers through Temu at a lower cost. Some items can be delivered as quickly as the following day.
Currently operating on an invitation-only basis, the program is expected to open to all eligible Turkish sellers in the near future. A company spokesperson said the local-to-local program is designed to expand opportunities for Turkish businesses while providing consumers with access to affordable, quality products delivered faster.
Temu noted that its local-to-local approach is already active in more than 30 countries, including the United States, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and Mexico.
The expansion into Türkiye is described by the company as part of its regional strategy to strengthen ties with local businesses and enhance customer experience. Temu first entered the Turkish market in May 2024 and has quickly gained popularity.
According to data from mobile analytics firm Sensor Tower, Temu was the most downloaded shopping app in Türkiye during the first quarter of 2025.
