Ciel Dubai Marina, now recognized as the world’s tallest hotel, rising 377 meters (1,237 feet) above the city’s waterfront district and spanning 82 floors, has officially opened in Dubai, UAE.

The tower surpasses the Gevora Hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road, which previously held the title, and adds another high-rise landmark to the Dubai Marina area, a residential and leisure neighborhood built around an artificial canal.

1,004 rooms with views over Palm Jumeirah

The property is developed by The First Group and designed by NORR Group, an international architecture and engineering firm. Construction was carried out by The First Group in cooperation with the contractor China Railway 18th Bureau Group of Dubai. The hotel is operated by The First Group Hospitality under the Vignette Collection brand, which is part of InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), a global hotel company based in the United Kingdom.

Ciel Dubai Marina contains 1,004 rooms and suites, all positioned to offer views of Palm Jumeirah—a man-made, palm-shaped island—and Dubai Marina.

Standard rooms start at 1,310 UAE dirhams ($356.71) per night, while premium suites are priced at around AED 2,400 and include access to high-floor lounges.

Ciel Dubai Marina features world’s highest pool, club

Beyond its overall height, Ciel Dubai Marina introduces additional record-setting features. The Tattu Sky Pool, located on level 76, is described as the world’s highest infinity pool, overtaking the previous record held by a pool at Address Beach Resort, which is positioned at 294 meters.

An infinity pool is a swimming pool designed so that water flows over at least one edge, creating the visual effect that the water has no boundary and merges with the horizon.

On level 81, the Tattu Sky Lounge is presented as the world’s highest club, offering elevated views over the city.

The launch of Ciel Dubai Marina comes as Dubai continues to expand its tourism sector. In 2024, the city welcomed more than 17 million international visitors, consolidating its position as a global luxury travel hub for both leisure and business travelers.

The hotel is expected to draw strong interest during Dubai’s peak winter season, when milder temperatures typically support higher visitor numbers. Bookings are now open, and the property is presented as a new destination for international guests and corporate travelers seeking high-rise accommodation in the Marina district.
