German travel giant TUI Group, Europe’s largest tour operator, announced plans to open four new hotels in Europe in spring 2026, including two in Türkiye, as part of efforts to strengthen its regional presence while continuing to expand in long-haul markets.

Peter Krueger, a member of the TUI Group Executive Board and CEO of Holiday Experiences, described Europe as a "key pillar" of the company’s business and said the Turkish resorts, along with new hotels in Italy and Spain, will broaden the group’s product range across popular destinations.

TUI selects Belek, Didim for new Türkiye hotels

According to a statement from the company, TUI Blue Maviss, located on the Mediterranean coast in Belek, Antalya, will open its doors in April 2026 with 499 rooms. The property is designed with families in mind, offering a TUI Kids Club, swim-up rooms, and three a la carte restaurants. Belek is known for its sandy beaches and thermal baths, and the resort aims to integrate these attractions into the guest experience.

Also opening in April 2026, Akra Didim Resort & Spa in Mugla will add 359 rooms to Türkiye’s Aegean coast. The property will include a mix of deluxe rooms, family-oriented Priene Houses, and suites with private pools and jacuzzis. Sports facilities will feature courts for tennis, padel, and pickleball, while the Sarnic Spa & Wellness Center will provide treatments ranging from traditional hammam to Watsu and Thalasso therapy. Unlike many coastal resorts, Akra Didim will operate year-round.

Openings in Italy, Spain

Beyond Türkiye, TUI will expand its portfolio with hotels in Sardinia, Italy, and on Spain’s Costa del Sol.

TUI Blue Pardu in Sardinia will open in May 2026 with 145 rooms, a children’s club, and sports facilities including tennis and football.

In Fuengirola, Spain, the refurbished TUI Blue Yaramar will reopen the same month as an adults-only property with 225 rooms, featuring an oceanfront pool, multiple dining options, and cultural entertainment programs.

With these openings, TUI Hotels & Resorts will expand its network of more than 450 properties worldwide. The company already operates over 230 hotels across 12 European countries, and the upcoming additions—particularly in Türkiye—are set to further strengthen its role in the region’s tourism sector.
