The Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) released housing sales statistics for October 2024, showing a total of 165,138 properties sold across Türkiye .

While foreign purchases saw a sharp decline in October, Russian citizens led the market with 373 sales. They were followed by Iranian citizens with 172 sales and Ukrainians with 136.

In the first nine months of the year, total sales reached 1.11 million. In the January-October period, house sales to foreigners dropped by 37.2% compared to the same period last year, amounting to 19,212.

Russians lead list in 2024 in Türkiye

By nationality, Russian Federation citizens purchased the most houses in 2024.

According to the data, house sales to foreigners decreased by 16.3% in October compared to the same month last year, totaling 2,122.

The share of foreign buyers in total sales for the month was 1.3%. The provinces with the highest number of sales to foreigners were Antalya with 750, Istanbul with 724, and Mersin with 148.
