Industrial production in Türkiye falls 3.9% annually in July 2024

Industrial production in Türkiye decreased by 3.9% in July 2024 compared to the same month of the previous year, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data released for the Industrial Production Index.

Türkiye's annual performance

When examining the subsectors of the industry, based on 202 is equal to 100, the mining and quarrying index showed a 3.3% increase in July 2024 compared to the same month of 2023.

In contrast, the manufacturing index dropped by 5.1%, while the electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply index rose by 8.2%.

Monthly growth

On a month-to-month basis, industrial production increased by 0.4% in July 2024 compared to June.

The mining and quarrying index registered a 2.1% increase, the manufacturing index rose by 0.5%, while the electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply index saw a decline of 1.9%.
