Platform to integrate artificial intelligence and domestic financial technologies

The planned platform will be powered by artificial intelligence (AI) and fintech solutions developed in Türkiye. It is expected to streamline access to finance for individuals and small businesses, both within and beyond the Trendyol ecosystem.

The venture will commence operations after obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals, the companies confirmed.

Trendyol President Caglayan Cetin emphasized that the alliance would contribute to Türkiye’s broader digital transformation and economic development.

“We want to make financial services more accessible, initially to our 250,000 SMEs, to support their e-commerce and e-export potential with our strong data-analysis capabilities,” Cetin said.

Partners bring together expertise in AI, e-commerce, and fintech

Baykar CEO Haluk Bayraktar noted that the cooperation brings together global expertise in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and financial infrastructure.

“We are combining Baykar’s AI capabilities with Trendyol’s e-commerce experience and Ant’s global fintech know-how to establish a fully domestic fintech infrastructure,” Bayraktar said, underlining a commitment to high standards in risk management and security.

Michael Evans, president of Alibaba Group—which holds a significant stake in Trendyol—also voiced support for the project, calling it “a valuable investment” that reflects Alibaba’s confidence in Türkiye.

He stated that the initiative would benefit both individuals and businesses, helping to improve the daily financial lives of citizens while supporting long-term economic growth.

Türkiye seen as fertile ground for digital finance innovation

Mansour AlMulla, Deputy Group CEO of ADQ, highlighted Türkiye’s dynamic economy and rapidlyevolving digital environmentas key drivers of opportunity.

He said the partnership reflects a shared interest in creating innovative financial solutions that contribute to Türkiye’s digital transformation goals.

Yi Zhou, CFO of Ant International, highlighted Türkiye’s young, digitally literate population and developed e-commerce sector as key strengths.

“We are excited to develop inclusive digital financial solutions for this vibrant digital economy using cutting-edge technologies such as AI and blockchain,” he said.

The platform is scheduled for rollout in the coming months, pending approval from Türkiye’s financial regulatory institutions.
