Turkish aluminum producer ASAS has acquired France-based Eurofoil France as part of its global growth strategy, entering a new phase in the company’s European operations.
While the financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, the company announced Friday that the French unit will continue its operations under the new name ASAS S.A.S.
ASAS General Manager Derya Hatiboglu described the move as a "strategic step" that enhances both the firm’s production capacity and international synergy.
According to the company, the acquisition reflects its commitment to combining high-quality standards, advanced manufacturing technologies, and a sustainability-focused approach to strengthen its international competitiveness.
"With our new structure in France, we are reinforcing our presence in the European market while providing customers with a more agile and sustainable service network," Hatiboglu said, adding that the deal represents another step toward the company’s global growth vision.
Under ASAS’s ownership, Eurofoil France will continue production with its existing experienced staff. The integration is expected to allow the new entity to offer a broader product range, stronger supply assurance, and improved service quality to customers across Europe.
Founded in 1947 in Rugles, France, Eurofoil France operates on a 130,000-square-meter site, including 55,450 square meters of indoor production space. The company manufactures aluminum foil as thin as 5 microns, serving industries such as packaging, food, pharmaceuticals, and automotive.
Established in 1990, ASAS ranks among Türkiye’s leading industrial enterprises, operating five state-of-the-art production facilities in Sakarya, Türkiye, with over 2,400 employees and exports to more than 80 countries, according to information on its website.
