Türkiye's Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek and central bank governor Fatih Karahan presented the country’s updated medium-term economic framework to U.S. investors in New York on Wednesday, during the 17th Türkiye Investment Conference organized by the Türkiye-U.S. Business Council (TAIK).

The officials outlined the government’s economic roadmap for 2026–2028, shortly after the release of the medium-term program (MTP), which focuses on curbing inflation, strengthening fiscal discipline, and improving the investment climate.

Türkiye's roadmap centered on stability and investment climate

TAIK said in a statement that the session, organized in partnership with J.P. Morgan, provided international investors with details of Türkiye’s economic strategy. According to the council, the officials underlined the government’s commitment to fighting inflation, maintaining budgetary discipline, and creating a more predictable environment for foreign capital.

Karahan highlighted that the meeting marked the first opportunity to present the revised economic program to international investors following its release. He noted that Türkiye intends to maintain policy continuity while ensuring that reforms are in place to attract long-term investment.

The three-day conference brought together senior executives from 25 U.S. companies listed in the Fortune 100 ranking, alongside representatives of Turkish businesses with existing partnerships in the United States.

On the opening day, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan joined a roundtable session at Turkish House, Türkiye’s consulate and cultural center in New York. The discussion focused on ways to expand bilateral trade and investment ties between the two countries.

TAIK said the conference aims to deepen cooperation by building on strong existing business links between Türkiye and the U.S. and will continue with a series of sessions designed to connect investors with policymakers.
