Turkish owners of Togg vehicles gathered in Stuttgart on Sunday as they moved to establish what they hope will become Germany’s largest fan club for Türkiye’s first electric vehicle brand.
The gathering began with a joint breakfast at Backerei Metropole in Stuttgart-Feuerbach, where a parking area was reserved specifically for Togg drivers.
The vehicles were lined up side by side as participants drew the attention of German residents and other car enthusiasts in the area.
The event then turned into a 45-car convoy, with Togg owners leaving Feuerbach and driving through Stuttgart in a single line before arriving at the Togg Europe GmbH headquarters in Fasanenhof.
The drivers followed the same navigation route, and participants later met with Togg Europe officials at the company’s site.
The community’s management announced plans to establish an official association to help streamline the legal and bureaucratic procedures required for large-scale events across Germany.
The organization is expected to take the name "Togg Deutschland Community e.V." once the necessary bureaucratic procedures are completed. The group also plans to organize three or four professional gatherings each year and create a dedicated channel for members to submit suggestions and feedback.
The initiative comes as the community expands beyond its original online network. Bilgehan Caliskan, one of its founding administrators, said the WhatsApp group that began with four people has grown into a 160-member community.
"The intense flow of information in the WhatsApp group has now become impossible to keep up with. That is why we are taking our project one step further," Caliskan said.
The group plans to launch a dedicated online forum modeled on platforms created by Tesla users in Germany. The planned site will bring together updates, software developments and the community’s meeting calendar in a more organized format.
Habib Aydin, a founding partner, said he had driven 40 thousand kilometers in his Togg over about 8-9 months and highlighted the experiences of Turkish citizens traveling between Europe and Türkiye by electric vehicle.
Deniz Baydur said he had already driven 7-8 thousand kilometers just one month after taking delivery of his vehicle, while Emre Cicek traveled 500 kilometers from Lunen with his family and said his new driving school branch would use a Togg T10F as its first vehicle.
"We set out with the intention of offering this service to our citizens in Germany. For us, supporting this brand and promoting it here is a duty," Cicek said.
Businessman Lokman Aksakal also urged Turkish business owners in Germany to display Togg vehicles outside their companies as a symbol of national pride.
The community plans more large-scale gatherings in major German cities, including Frankfurt, while its planned association and online forum are intended to connect Togg owners across Germany and Europe.
Togg began its European expansion in Germany in September 2025, opening pre-orders for its T10X SUV and T10F fastback through its Trumore digital platform. The company initially made 1,000 vehicles available for pre-order, with 600 scheduled for delivery by the end of 2025.
CEO M. Gurcan Karakas said in September 2025 that the company planned to take what it learned in Germany into France and Italy, while other reports have identified the Netherlands and Sweden among the European markets targeted for expansion.
Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt data shows that 413 Togg electric vehicles were newly registered in Germany through August 2026, including 330 T10X and 82 T10F models, while one additional vehicle was recorded under other models.
Togg Chairperson Fuat Tosyali said in August that the company had received applications from several countries interested in importing and selling its vehicles locally but chose Germany first partly because of the large Turkish community there.
However, Tosyali acknowledged that Togg has struggled to secure customer financing because of differences between European and Turkish banking and credit systems, and despite stronger-than-expected interest in Germany, sales have remained below expectations.
He added that the company has been in talks with local banks to develop financing options that would make it easier for customers to purchase Togg vehicles.
