Türkiye's Trade Ministry announced Saturday an expansion of its Brand and Turquality support programs, offering 75% financial assistance for participation in designated trade fairs while extending incentives to domestic software, foreign buyer visits and branded retail displays overseas.

The changes, introduced through amendments to the Circular on Brand and Turquality Support, are intended to help Turkish companies strengthen their international presence, adapt to changing global trade conditions and increase high-value-added exports.

According to a ministry statement, the revised framework expands existing support mechanisms to address exporters' evolving needs while encouraging investment in branding, technology and international marketing.

Türkiye offers 75% support for trade fair participation

Under the revised regulations, companies enrolled in the Brand and Turquality programs will receive 75% support for participation in fairs showcasing Turkish export products.

The financial assistance will be exempt from the programs' maximum support ceiling, allowing eligible companies to benefit from the incentive without reducing their access to other support measures.

The ministry said the initiative aims to increase the international visibility of Turkish brands, improve the effectiveness of trade fair participation and strengthen the global recognition of products marketed under the "Made in Türkiye" image.

Domestic software gains support under new rules

The amendments also introduce measures to encourage the use of domestically developed technology in companies' digital transformation efforts.

Software products and services purchased or leased under consultancy support will now be required to hold a Technological Product Certificate (TUR Certificate).

The requirement is designed to direct branding incentives toward domestic technology solutions, support the commercialization of locally developed software and strengthen Türkiye's technology ecosystem.

The ministry also introduced greater flexibility in the five-year support periods available for each target market under the programs.

Companies will be permitted, on a one-time basis, to extend their support period by adding years in which they received no support payments to the end of the original period.

The change is intended to help exporters manage their international branding strategies more effectively and make better use of available incentives.

Foreign buyer visits and overseas retail displays included

The expanded programs will also cover promotional activities involving visits to Türkiye by foreign buyers and representatives of overseas public institutions and organizations.

The measure will enable participating companies to host potential business partners and showcase their production facilities, technological capabilities and product quality directly.

The ministry expects these visits to encourage new commercial partnerships and improve exporters' access to international markets.

Separately, companies will become eligible for support to establish dedicated branded display areas at overseas sales outlets operated by their dealers, representatives and distributors.

The incentive aims to strengthen the visibility of Turkish products at international points of sale, improve brand recognition and help companies reach consumers through established distribution networks.

The ministry said the broader reforms are part of its efforts to help Turkish businesses move beyond conventional product exports and develop globally recognized brands supported by stronger distribution networks, innovation and technology.

The changes are also intended to advance Türkiye's strategy of expanding branded, high-value-added and technology-intensive exports.
