Turkish Airlines' low-cost subsidiary, AJet, has received an international recognition for passenger experience for the second consecutive year.
The Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX), a U.S.-based industry body, awarded AJet the title of "Four-Star Low-Cost Carrier" at its annual evaluation of global airlines.
The award is based on nearly one million independent passenger reviews of flights worldwide. AJet stood out among approximately 600 airlines and was the only Turkish brand to be recognized in its category. The rating places the carrier among the world’s top 10 low-cost airlines, underlining its growing presence in the international aviation sector.
The recognition was presented at the APEX/IFSA Global Expo in Los Angeles. APEX/IFSA Chief Executive Officer Joe Leader handed the award to AJet Deputy General Manager Cemal Kaya during the ceremony. The airline had already received the same award last year, only seven months after it was founded.
Commenting on the achievement, AJet General Manager Kerem Sarp said the award demonstrated that the company’s commitment to passenger comfort and service quality had been recognized internationally. He noted that AJet’s current SAFA score — a safety assessment rating used in Europe — stands at 0.30, adding that the airline is determined to lower this figure further while maintaining flight safety standards.
