Türkiye’s exports to members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) reached $41.5 billion in the first seven months of 2026, up $345.7 million, or 0.8%, from a year earlier, the Trade Ministry said Monday.
Türkiye’s total foreign trade volume with OIC countries rose 2.2% year over year to $69.2 billion in the January-July period.
The ministry said Türkiye is seeking deeper commercial integration with OIC members through its Strategy for Developing Exports with OIC Members, which is also included in the country’s 2026-2028 Medium-Term Program.
Under the strategy, Türkiye aims to increase the share of OIC countries in its total exports from the current 27% to 30% by 2028.
The ministry identified 21 countries as first-phase focus markets after analyzing their economic and commercial data.
They are Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, the United Arab Emirates, Algeria, Indonesia, Morocco, Ivory Coast, Qatar, Kuwait, Libya, Malaysia, Egypt, Nigeria, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Senegal, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Jordan, and Oman.
The OIC, founded in 1969 to strengthen cooperation and solidarity among Islamic countries and protect common rights and interests, has 57 members representing about a quarter of the world’s population and one-tenth of global income, the ministry said.
Türkiye’s trade volume with OIC countries increased from $87.6 billion in 2013 to $119.1 billion in 2025, an increase of about 1.4 times.
In 2025, Türkiye’s largest trading partners among OIC members were the United Arab Emirates at about $19 billion, Iraq at $14.3 billion, and Egypt and Kazakhstan at $7.9 billion each.
During the first seven months of 2026, Egypt recorded the largest increase in Turkish exports by value, rising $522.2 million to $2.8 billion.
Exports to Libya increased $438.5 million to $2.2 billion, while shipments to Syria rose $296.8 million to $2.1 billion, and exports to Jordan climbed $227.5 million to $1.3 billion.
