The ArtAnkara International Contemporary Art Fair returns to the ATO Congresium this week, marking a significant milestone for the capital's art scene.
Whether you are a dedicated collector or a casual admirer of visual culture, the event offers a massive range of exhibits and interactive programming.
The fair officially opens to the general public on March 26 and runs through March 29, 2026.
This year's edition is set to be one of the most diverse yet, featuring works from over 1,000 artists representing 45 different countries.
The program also features 33 panels and talks focusing on art theory, contemporary practices, collecting, and the art market.
In addition, 34 workshops will offer hands-on experiences across disciplines such as painting, printmaking, and ceramics, while around 40 music events, including jazz performances and recitals, will take place throughout the fair.
Writers and researchers will also participate in the program, including Nedim Gursel with a talk on his book "Turkish Painters of Paris" (Paris'teki Turk Ressamlari) and Kerem Topuz, who will present his work on painter Fikret Mualla and hold a book signing session.
