The Bozcaada Jazz Festival will bring together musicians from Türkiye and across Europe for its 10th edition from Sept. 4 to 6, combining live performances with workshops, discussions and cultural activities held across the Turkish island.
First launched in 2017 and inspired by Bozcaada, this year's festival will take place under the theme "Impermanence," which organizers said will encourage participants to reflect on the value of the present moment.
The three-day program will reach beyond conventional jazz by bringing together electronic, traditional, contemporary, improvisational and psychedelic music.
Performers from Türkiye, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Germany and France will take part in the festival.
The announced lineup includes Cagil Kaya, Korhan Futaci, French group Photons, Tolga Boyuk, Suzan Veneman, British group Mackwood, the Germany-based Pinar Tatlikazan Quartet, Onder Focan and Gulnihal.
The festival is supported by the Türkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency and sponsored by Turkish cryptocurrency platform Paribu.
Alongside the concerts, the festival's "Discovery" program will spread out across the island through panel discussions, guided walks, workshops and special projects shaped around the theme of impermanence.
The program will bring up subjects including island life, entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence, cultural policy and viticulture, the cultivation of grapes and production of wine.
Visitors will also be able to join music and ceramics workshops, jazz discussions, performances and birdwatching activities.
The complete festival program will be announced on the festival's official website on Aug. 5.
