Turkish star Burak Ozcivit, best known internationally for "Endless Love" (Kara Sevda), will attend MIPCOM Cannes, one of the world's leading content markets, to present his new drama "Land of the Sun" (Gunesin Dogdugu Yer), in which he plays Kenan Kozan.
Ozcivit is also known to international audiences for the historical epic "Kurulus: Osman."
The market runs Oct. 12-15, and the actor will visit the stand of ATV, the Turkish channel airing the series, on Oct. 12.
That evening, he will join an ATV event for senior channel and platform executives from around the world, where he will meet buyers and the international press.
The actor will not stay for the whole market. The day after the event, he returns to the set to continue filming the series. Producer Burak Sagyasar will accompany him in Cannes.
"Land of the Sun" premiered on ATV on Sept. 17 and airs Thursdays at 8 p.m.
The story begins in Germany and moves to the Turkish city of Adana. It follows Kenan, the son of the powerful Kozan family, and Leyla Breger, a young woman of German-Turkish heritage, played by Beyza Gumulcine. Their love story unfolds against old family rivalries.
The series is produced by Tims&B, with a screenplay by Yildiz Tunc and direction by Cagri Vila Lostuvali. The cast includes Sibel Tascioglu as Kenan's mother, Celadet Kozan, along with Devrim Yakut, Gorkem Sevindik and Hilal Anay.
