Actor Connor Storrie is in talks to star opposite Ryan Gosling in Marvel Studios’ "Ghost Rider," according to CAA.
Marvel has not confirmed his casting, and the role he would play has not been disclosed.
Shawn Levy is directing the film, which reunites him with Gosling, who starred in his "Star Wars: Starfighter," and screenwriter Jonathan Tropper.
Gosling is presumed to be playing Johnny Blaze, though Marvel has not confirmed.
In the comics, Blaze is a stunt motorcyclist who makes a deal with the devil and becomes bonded with a demon. He transforms into a flaming-skulled figure known as the Ghost Rider, who rides a fiery motorcycle.
The character was created by writer Gary Friedrich and artist Mike Ploog and first appeared in 1972.
The character has no single signature villain but has faced several demonic antagonists, including Mephisto. Mephisto appeared in earlier films starring Nicolas Cage, along with his son Blackheart.
Production is scheduled to begin in New York next year. Linus Sandgren, whose credits include "Dune: Part Three," has been hired as director of photography.
Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige is producing with Louis D’Esposito, Stephen Broussard, Levy, and Gosling. Richie Palmer and Jessie Henderson are executive producers.
Marvel announced the project at San Diego Comic-Con in July and set a release date of July 28, 2028.
Since his 2025 television role, Storrie has signed brand deals and hosted "Saturday Night Live," which earned him an Emmy nomination.
"Ghost Rider" would be his first major project since then. He has also filmed a role in Sarah Polley’s adaptation of "The Bell Jar."
