Canadian rapper Drake has brought a Turkish performer's rendition of one of his songs to a global audience by sharing the locally posted video on his official Instagram account.
The original Instagram reel, uploaded by the account @fatihelvis33, features the musician performing into a microphone beside a large speaker with the caption, “Not you too #Drake.”
Drake later reposted the performance through an Instagram Story on his @champagnepapi account.
The rapper added the caption, “You get it twin,” signaling his approval of the Turkish performer’s rendition.
By the time screenshots of the interaction circulated, the original video had already amassed tens of thousands of likes, with social media users quickly noting Drake’s decision to share the performance directly with his followers.
Born Aubrey Drake Graham in Toronto in 1986, Drake is a Canadian rapper, singer, and former actor who initially gained recognition on the television series Degrassi: The Next Generation.
He later transitioned into music, achieving his international breakthrough with hits like “Best I Ever Had”. His 2010 debut studio album, "Thank Me Later," topped the Billboard 200, while subsequent releases like "Take Care," "Views," "Scorpion," and "For All the Dogs" solidified his dominance in mainstream hip-hop and pop.
Beyond music, Drake has expanded into business through his October’s Very Own (OVO) brand, which includes the OVO Sound record label. His extensive catalog features celebrated solo work alongside major collaborative projects, such as "Her Loss" with 21 Savage and the 2025 album "Some Sexy Songs 4 U" with PARTYNEXTDOOR.
Although no recent Drake concert in Türkiye could be confirmed, the rapper recently brought up the country in “Make Them Cry,” a song from his 2026 album "Iceman."
In the track, Drake refers to being at a Bulgari property in Türkiye and suggests that he had travelled there to get away and rest. The lyrics provided one of his clearest recent public references to the country.
