"Swan Lake," one of classical ballet's most significant works, will be performed in Türkiye by the Georgian National Ballet, recognized as one of the world's leading dance companies.
Known for its international tours and recipient of a Herald Angel Award at the 2008 Edinburgh International Festival, the Georgian National Ballet has been under the artistic direction of world-renowned prima ballerina Nina Ananiashvili since 2004.
Brought to Türkiye by the Piu Entertainment organization, the large-scale production features a libretto adapted by Ananiashvili from the classical choreography of Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov, with the choreographic version and staging prepared by Ananiashvili alongside Alexey Fadeechev.
Behind the scenes, David Monavardisashvili is responsible for set design, Cyrille Gassilline for costume design, and Steen Bjarke for lighting design.
The production is notable for its hand-painted sets and traditional costumes, and its Istanbul performances will feature a live symphony orchestra: works by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky will be performed by the Piu Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Levan Jagaev, at the Turkcell Stage of the Zorlu Performing Arts Center (PSM).

As part of the tour, the Istanbul performances will take place at the Zorlu PSM Turkcell Stage on Jan. 16 next year in two separate sessions, at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., while the Ankara performance will be held on Jan. 17 at 8 p.m. at the ATO Congress and Exhibition Center.
