German power metal icon Blind Guardian will return to Türkiye with two dates on its The God Machine European tour, meeting fans in Ankara on Sept. 26 at Milyon Performance Hall and in Istanbul on Sept. 27 at Zorlu PSM.
The band says this tour will carry the epic sound and fantasy-driven storytelling that have defined its career.
The group is expected to take the stage in Ankara on Thursday, Sept. 26, before heading to Istanbul for a Friday, Sept. 27, performance.
Milyon Performance Hall is a concert venue in the capital, while Zorlu PSM is a major performing arts center in Istanbul.
These consecutive dates are set to bring the same touring production across both cities.
Formed in Krefeld, Germany in 1984 by Hansi Kursch and Andre Olbrich, Blind Guardian has grown into a reference point for power metal—a subgenre of heavy metal known for fast tempos, soaring melodies and themes that often draw on myth and fantasy.
The band’s approach blends sweeping orchestral elements, strong melodies and dramatic storytelling to build songs that move between intimate passages and full-scale grandeur.
Blind Guardian’s lyrics frequently build on literary worlds. The band cites authors such as J.R.R. Tolkien, Stephen King and Robert Jordan among its inspirations and is widely known for tracks including “The Bard’s Song” and “Skalds and Shadows,” which helped shape its reputation for narrative-rich songwriting.
The current run supports the album “The God Machine,” which the band signals as a return to high-intensity performance.
Fans can expect a show rich in theatricality and musical punch, pairing the group’s long-standing symphonic sweep with the drive of its latest work.
