O3 Media’s new drama Ask ve Gozyasi (Love and Tears) brings together two of Türkiye’s most popular actors, Baris Arduc and Hande Ercel, in the local adaptation of the South Korean series Queen of Tears. Framed as an emotionally charged relationship story, the series is positioned to shape the new TV season.

A “local adaptation” here means a remake produced for domestic audiences while keeping the core premise of the original.

A love story upended by a life-altering diagnosis

The plot centers on Meyra, described as one of Türkiye’s wealthiest women, who learns she has a terminal illness just as she and her husband Selim are heading toward divorce.

That unexpected diagnosis forces their relationship to take a dramatic turn, setting up a narrative that aims to take viewers on a deep emotional journey.

An ensemble built to carry high drama

Alongside Arduc and Ercel, the cast features Berk Cankat, Senan Kara, Sanem Celik, Ali Ipin, Oznur Serceler, Senay Gurler, and Feri Guler.

The series is directed by Engin Erden, with the script written by Dilara Pamuk. The creative team is presented as focusing on strong, drama-driven storytelling.

Timed to open the season

Ask ve Gozyasi is slated to premiere in September. As the Türkiye remake of Queen of Tears—described as one of the most-watched series in Korean television history—the show aims to tap into a proven story while reshaping it for a new audience.
