The sixth Istanbul Digital Art Festival has opened at Ataturk Cultural Center (AKM), bringing together digital art, advanced technology and interactive experiences in one of Istanbul’s leading cultural venues.
Organized by Mezo with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and with Turk Telekom and PASHA Bank as main sponsors, the festival will remain open to visitors until June 7.
The opening ceremony brought together guests from the fields of art, academia, technology and media. One of the most attention-grabbing moments of the ceremony came when Ada Robot joined the presentations.
Festival Director Nabat Garakhanova said digital art has become an important part of cultural production and noted that the festival has built up a wider international field of interaction each year.
She also said the event brings together artists, academics and technology professionals, helping to open up space for new collaborations and creative production.
Turk Telekom, one of the main sponsors of the festival, is presenting technology-based experiences at AKM as part of its wider focus on digital transformation.
At the festival, the company is showcasing an interactive artwork that analyzes visitors’ brain waves and turns the data into original artistic motifs.
It is also presenting the 5G-supported “Devrim Erbil Digital Painting Exhibition,” developed under its “5G for Everyone” vision and described in the source text as a world first.
The opening ceremony ended with an audiovisual performance combining sound, light and digital imagery.
The festival program includes exhibitions, panels, talks and performances by artists from Türkiye and abroad. Events will take place across different spaces inside AKM until June 7.
The festival’s supporters include public institutions, cultural organizations, technology companies, universities and creative-sector partners.
