The Istanbul Festival welcomed two of the most prominent names in Turkish pop music this week, Levent Yuksel and Hande Yener.
According to a statement from Focus Istanbul, Levent Yuksel treated audiences to a night full of nostalgia at concerts held at Festival Park Yenikapi, performing beloved songs spanning from the 1990s to today.
Yuksel performed his most memorable songs on the festival stage, including "Zalim," "Tuana," "Med Cezir" and "Yeter Ki Onursuz Olmasin Ask."
Another guest on the program, Hande Yener, took the stage with her project "Hande Bizi Sezen'e Goturce" ("Hande, Take Us to Sezen").
Accompanied by a 50-member symphony orchestra conducted by Murat Enginol, Yener performed the works of Sezen Aksu, singing "Geri Don," "Rakkas," "Ne Kavgam Bitti Ne Sevdam," "Deger mi Hic," "Hadi Bakalim," "Kaybolan Yillar" and "Biliyorsun," as well as performing "Istanbul Istanbul Olali," a song specially prepared for the Istanbul Festival.
The Istanbul Festival will continue to host artists from various music genres in the coming days.
As part of the festival, Dedubluman and Duman will perform this evening, followed by Kwon Eunbi and Ateez on Aug. 14, and Sunmi and Monsta X on Aug. 15.
The festival will conclude on Aug. 16 with performances by Hadise and Argy.
In addition to main stage concerts, the festival grounds feature live performances, DJ sets, dance shows, talks and interactive events at the Genc Sahne (Young Stage), along with 3x3 basketball tournaments, exhibition matches and competitions.
The Istanbul Festival, which also includes brand experience areas, activity zones for children and gastronomy options, brings together music, sports and entertainment events.
