British rapper Central Cee is set to perform at the Istanbul Festival on August 1, taking the stage at Festival Park Yenikapi on the event's opening day, organizers announced.

The artist, known for tracks that have made him one of the most prominent names in contemporary UK rap, will headline the festival's first day. Organizers said the rapper is preparing to deliver what they described as an unforgettable live performance experience for fans.

Born Oakley Neil Caesar-Su in 1998 in Shepherd's Bush, London, Central Cee is regarded as one of the leading figures in UK rap, having risen to prominence in 2020 with the release of his drill singles "Day in the Life" and "Loading."

His debut mixtape, "Wild West," reached number two on the UK Albums Chart in 2021, while his second, "23," went to number one the following year.

His 2023 collaboration with fellow British rapper Dave, "Sprinter," became his first UK number-one single and went on to become the most streamed UK rap song in history.

In January 2025, he released his debut album, "Can't Rush Greatness," which topped the UK Albums Chart and reached the top ten of the Billboard 200, making it the first UK rap album to do so.

Venue and timing details

The concert will take place at Festival Park Yenikapi, located at Kennedy Caddesi No. 46 in the Aksaray neighborhood of Fatih, Istanbul. Doors open at 4 p.m. on the day of the show.

The Istanbul Festival is not limited to concerts. Organizers said the event will also feature esports competitions, basketball tournaments and a range of additional activity areas, positioning the festival as a broader entertainment gathering rather than a single-act show.

No further details on ticketing, additional lineup announcements or pricing were included in the information provided.
