The 46th Istanbul Film Festival will bring together international cinema, award-winning productions and Turkish films from April 8 to 18, 2027.
The 46th Istanbul Film Festival, organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (IKSV), will take place from April 8 to 18, 2027, bringing together new releases from world cinema, award-winning films from international festivals, Turkish productions and classic works.
According to a statement from IKSV, the festival will be held with sponsorship from N Kolay and will feature competitive screenings alongside special events and programs for film industry professionals.
The festival will feature three competitive sections: the Golden Tulip Competition, New Perspectives and the Short Film Competition.
While the Golden Tulip Competition will form part of the festival's competitive program, New Perspectives will focus on first or second feature-length films by Turkish filmmakers, providing a dedicated section for emerging talent.
The Short Film Competition will round out the festival's three competitive categories.
Beyond its film screenings, the festival will offer discussions, special screenings and conversations that bring audiences together around cinema.
The program will also include Meetings on the Bridge, Türkiye's first co-production market, which provides training and networking opportunities for film industry professionals.
Applications for the festival open on Nov. 9. Details will be posted on IKSV’s official website.
