Two-time Billboard 200 chart-topper Lana Del Rey reveals she recorded a new song with Zach Bryan, seemingly titled "Whale," teasing it in behind-the-scenes clips shared on Instagram.
The collaboration comes as fans anticipate her long-awaited country album, "Stove," offering the clearest hint yet at the project's direction.
In her post, Del Rey noted that she and her husband were joined in Massachusetts by Zach Bryan, his wife Samantha, and Shelby, writing that they'd gone to great lengths to help "bring back Mother whale and moonlight roll on."
The 11-time Grammy nominee went on to thank Melinda Kirkpatrick and her husband, Doug, the folk artists behind the whale-themed paintings Bryan had shown her calling them, "so aspirational" and expressing excitement to meet the couple in person, adding that their work would give her family "something to treasure forever."
The new track arrives as fans have awaited Del Rey's tenth studio album, "Stove," her long-teased foray into country music.
Originally announced under the titles "Lasso" and later "The Right Person Will Stay," the project has been delayed multiple times as Del Rey added new material she described as more autobiographical than expected.
Three singles have already been released, "Henry, Come On," "Bluebird," and "White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter," with the album expected to arrive alongside a yet-untitled companion record in late 2026 or early 2027.
Since Bryan has built his career outside the traditional Nashville scene, his involvement hints that "Stove" may lean toward a rawer, more alt-country and Americana sound rather than mainstream country.
