On its second day, the "11th International Istanbul Arabic Book Fair" drew a large number of local and foreign visitors with an interest in Arabic-language books.
Held at the Yenikapi Eurasia Show and Art Center in partnership with the Press and Publishing Union, the International Arabic Book Publishers Association, and the Türkiye Printing and Publishing Professional Union, with Anadolu Agency serving as global communications partner, the fair offered thousands of Arabic-language books for visitors to explore.
Among those who had the opportunity to tour the fair were students, academics and educators studying in Türkiye, as well as readers, writers, journalists and researchers of various nationalities with an interest in the Arabic language.
Visitors browsed the books on display and gathered information about the works at booths run by more than 300 publishing houses from over 30 countries participating in the fair.
Held this year under the theme "The story continues," the 11th International Istanbul Arabic Book Fair holds the distinction of being the largest Arabic book fair outside the Arab world.
The event brings together publishers, writers, academics, translators, graphic designers and industry representatives for discussions on new projects, publishing rights and international collaborations.
The fair, which features colorful scenes, has drawn officials from several countries including Syria, Qatar, Oman, Morocco, Kuwait and Algeria, as well as representatives of international civil society organizations and figures from the worlds of culture, art and politics.
Accredited by the Arab Publishers Association, headquartered in Cairo, the fair will remain open to visitors until Aug. 23.
