The iconic Brazilian metal band Sepultura and Dutch symphonic metal group Epica electrified fans in Istanbul during the Dark Sun Metal Festival at KucukCiftlik Park in Istanbul.
The open-air venue, a popular site for major concerts in Türkiye, hosted an evening that brought together international and local metal acts.
The festival opened with a performance by Helak, a rising Turkish metal band, followed by Radical Noise, a well-known name in the local hardcore and punk scene.
Their high-energy sets prepared the audience for an evening of heavy riffs and symphonic melodies.
Sepultura took the stage as part of its 40th-anniversary farewell tour, performing classics such as Territory, Roots Bloody Roots, and Refuse/Resist.
During the set, the band paused to pay tribute to late rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away on July 22, offering a moment of respect that resonated with the audience.
The festival also featured the Turkish symphonic metal group Knight Errant and Danish artist Myrkur, adding a diverse mix of sounds to the evening.
Epica closed the night with a powerful set, performing fan favorites like Cross the Divide, Sensorium, and Cry for the Moon, leaving the crowd energized.
