Qatar Calendar, the official events platform in Qatar, announced that Shakira's concert in Doha has been postponed because of the "current regional situation."
The Colombian pop star was set to perform at Stadium 974 on April 1 as part of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour.
This would have been her first show in Qatar.
"Due to the current regional situation, the Shakira Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour concert in 974 Stadium Doha has been postponed," Qatar Calendar said in a statement shared on social media.
Qatar Calendar has not announced a new date yet, but ticket sales are still open, and all tickets already bought will still be valid.
"Once the new date is announced, a two-month window will be provided for ticket holders who wish to request a refund," Qatar Calendar added.
Tickets went on sale on Feb. 10, with prices from QAR 95 to QAR 650 ($26 to $178).
Qatar Calendar did not give more details about the regional situation mentioned in its statement. It is also unclear if the concert will be rescheduled in Qatar or moved elsewhere.
Shakira, who has won multiple Grammy awards and is known worldwide for her mix of Latin pop and rock, has been touring to promote her latest album, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, released in 2024.
The tour has already taken her to Europe and the Americas and was set to continue in the Middle East.
