Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' daughter has legally changed her last name, adopting her mother's middle name as her own, according to Page Six.
Suri, 20, first used the name "Suri Noelle" publicly at her high school graduation ceremony. She registered to vote in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, under that name in Oct. 2024, public records show.
Estranged from her father for most of her life, Suri began going by the name publicly at her 2024 high school graduation and carried it into her freshman year at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, where she is studying musical theater.
When Cruise and Holmes divorced in 2012, they issued a joint statement saying they were committed to co-parenting in Suri's best interest and intended to keep family matters private. In the years since, the couple has rarely discussed their daughter publicly.
Holmes addressed the topic in a 2023 Glamour interview, saying protecting Suri from the spotlight she faced at a young age has been a priority.
In December 2024, Holmes also responded to reports surrounding her daughter’s finances and relationship with her father.
After the Daily Mail reported that Suri had gained access to a trust fund when she turned 18, Holmes rejected the claim on Instagram, calling the report ''Completely false.''
''Daily Mail, you can stop making stuff up," she wrote, later adding, ''Enough."
When followers asked why she felt compelled to respond, Holmes explained in the comments that she was concerned for her daughter's safety, writing that she doesn't want "a target on my child's back."
