The Saudi Arabian platform "Shahid" has acquired the rights to the final two episodes of the Turkish series "Room for Love" (Cift Kisilik Oda) before their broadcast in Türkiye.

The release of the new episode of the series on the Arabic platform before its original broadcaster in Türkiye, NOW TV, sparked swift backlash.

The series, which last aired its 6th episode, was set to conclude its run with the 8th episode. However, Now TV postponed airing the final two episodes over the past three weeks due to weak advertising revenues.

However, the streaming platform "Shahid" remained unaffected by the decision and went ahead with acquiring the rights to stream the episodes, driven by the show's immense popularity across the Arab world.

The move sparked widespread outrage among Turkish viewers, who expressed frustration at being unable to watch the final episodes on their local channel.

Many criticized the decision to air the show on a different platform and in a different language—referring to its dubbing into Arabic.

“It’s the foreigners who get to watch the new episode—not us—even though Dream Hotel is a Turkish series. This must be a joke,” one viewer commented.

Turkish viewers voiced their frustration, saying, “This series is no longer made for us, but for foreign audiences.”

Another Turkish viewer expressed frustration, saying, “As far as I know, Cift Kisilik Oda is a Turkish series, right? What a disgrace—it’s airing in another country before it even broadcasts in Türkiye. We haven’t been able to watch a single episode for more than two weeks. Look at the situation we’re in—we’re watching it in Arabic with Turkish subtitles.

Room for Love: A tale of ambition, family secrets, and unexpected romance

Room for Love is a romantic drama written by Ayse Uner Kutlu that talks about Nilufer, portrayed by Devrim Ozkan, a young woman who dreams of working at the magnificent Lutesya Hotel her father once built.

Hoping to reconnect with her lost family, she finally applies for a job at the hotel—only to find herself caught in a tangle of ambition, rivalry, and love. There, she meets Kaan, a successful financier who is also the illegitimate son of the hotel’s owner. Kaan has returned after years abroad to confront his father and claim his stepsister. His first encounter with Nilufer is rocky, but the spark between them is undeniable.
