Manifest, the Turkish vocal-dance group that sparked speculation it was relocating to London, will not be leaving Türkiye, Tolga Akis, the group's founder and manager, said in a statement posted on his Instagram channel.
The clarification walked back earlier remarks suggesting members would close their shared home in the city this September.
Tolga Akis, said Manifest's move to London is part of the band's broader push into the global market, not a departure from Türkiye.
''Our country means everything to us. We have no intention of leaving here," Akis said in his second statement.
He said the group's shared home in Istanbul is being closed only because members are now setting up individual living spaces, and that London will instead serve as a base for the band's international projects and collaborations.
The clarification came a day after Akis' first statement, in which he announced that Manifest's communal home in Istanbul would close in September and that a new shared home would open in London.
That announcement quickly fueled reports that the group was leaving Türkiye for good.
In that earlier post, Akis revealed that Manifest was closing in on a deal with a production company with international reach.
He signed off with a hopeful note, saying it all comes down to dreaming and putting in the work, and that a new chapter for the group was just around the corner.
Akis pointed to what's next for the group, a Wembley Arena concert in London on Oct. 16.
The band will make the trip for the show and surrounding commitments before returning to Turkey.
Manifest, formed through the "BIG5 Türkiye" talent competition, has become one of Türkiye's most talked-about pop acts, known for its choreographed performances and young fan base.
