Turkish actress Hande Ercel is set to attend the Cannes Film Festival for the third consecutive year as an ambassador for a globally known Italian jewelry brand, while reports of changes in her professional team continue to draw attention.
Ercel, who previously walked the red carpet for the same brand in 2024 and 2025, is expected to travel to Cannes on May 13 and stay for three days. Her earlier appearances at the festival had drawn attention for her fashion choices and public image.
The Cannes trip comes shortly after Ercel reportedly made a series of professional decisions. According to media reports, the actor, who has recently been attending a language school in England, parted ways with both her long-time agency and style consultant before the festival.
The reports said Ercel is expected to map out her next professional steps starting in June.
Attention around the changes intensified after followers noticed updates to her social media account. Ercel reportedly removed the profile of “ID Iletisim,” the communications agency co-founded by manager Ayse Barim, from her account and also unfollowed the agency’s official Instagram page.
At the same time, Ercel also reportedly unfollowed stylist Inan Kirdemir, with whom she had worked for years, prompting widespread discussion in Turkish entertainment media.
According to claims cited in the reports, the move may have been linked to actor Serenay Sarikaya. The speculation suggested that tensions emerged after a globally known fashion brand allegedly selected Sarikaya instead of Ercel for a major fashion show, where Kirdemir later attended alongside Sarikaya.
Neither Ercel nor those involved publicly commented on the claims included in the reports.
