A magnitude 6.1 earthquake struck northeastern Afghanistan, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The USGS said the epicenter was 43 kilometers, or 27 miles, south of the Jurm district in northeastern Afghanistan.
The quake occurred at a depth of 208.3 kilometers, according to the agency.
The earthquake shook eastern Afghan provinces, including Khost and Nangarhar, and was also felt in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, Agence France-Presse (AFP) reported.
No casualties or material damage have yet been reported.
According to AFP, its journalists in the capital Kabul and elsewhere reported strong shaking.
