The Grammy-nominated artist Noah Kahan blasted President Trump on Tuesday after the White House used his song "American Cars" in a recent Instagram post.
The post, shared Monday, showed the president during a stop at General Motors' testing facility in Milford, Michigan.
Kahan's song "American Cars" played as the soundtrack across both the President of the United States (POTUS) and White House accounts on Instagram and TikTok. The caption read, "Made in America is BACK," alongside images of Trump following his remarks at the site.
After many fans tagged Kahan, he responded, "Would never approve of my music being used in support of you or this administration."
In response, Kaelan Dorr, who serves as the deputy assistant to the president and deputy communications director, wrote on X, "Symptoms of TDS apparently include having a northern attitude."

The acronym stands for ''Trump derangement syndrome,'' a phrase often used by his supporters. Dorr's comment was also a reference to Kahan's song ''Northern Attitude.''
Kahan joins a growing list of artists who have spoken out against Trump for using their music on social media without permission, including Celine Dion, Katy Perry, Kesha, Beyonce, Foo Fighters, Jack White and Ariana Grande, among many others.
