For the first time this year, more than 924,000 students taking Türkiye's high school entrance exam will get nutrition packs, according to the Ministry of National Education.

The High School Entrance Exam (LGS) exam will take place on Saturday in 81 provinces and 920 districts across Türkiye, with 4,244 buildings hosting 1,022,104 students. Another 554 students will take the exam at 11 centers in 8 other countries, bringing the total to 1,022,658 candidates.

Of all the students, 924,191, or about 91%, will receive a nutrition pack during the break between the verbal and numerical parts of the exam. Parents requested these packs through the e-School (e-Okul) system during registration.

Each nutrition pack includes an oat bar with dried fruit, walnuts, and raisins, along with water. The ministry explained that this initiative aims to meet students' nutritional needs during the break, help reduce exam anxiety, and encourage motivation.

The ministry's placement of students is determined by their nutrition pack preferences. It will separate students who requested packs from those who did not by placing them in different buildings. However, in districts where fewer than 40 students opted out of the program, they will remain in the same building as the rest of the students but will be assigned to different examination rooms.

Students taking the exam abroad will also get the nutrition pack, except for water, along with their exam materials.
