Authorities in Türkiye have seized a fully wooden vehicle known on social media as the "Lazborghini" after footage from Ayder Plateau showed it being driven at 79 kilometers per hour.
The vehicle, built entirely from wood by Muhammet Karaman, drew attention after he shared videos of himself driving it around the Ayder Plateau, a highland area in Camlihemsin district of Rize province.
The videos spread quickly on social media, with viewers focusing on the unusual wooden design and the speed shown during the ride.
After the footage gained wider attention, relevant teams launched an investigation into the vehicle and the social media footage.
Following the investigation, an administrative procedure was carried out against Karaman under relevant regulations.
Gendarmerie teams, Türkiye's rural law enforcement force, then took the wooden vehicle under protection and seized it.
The administrative process related to the incident is continuing.
