Sultan Kosen, recognized as the world’s tallest living man at 2 meters 51 centimeters, will travel to London on Nov. 25 for the filming of a documentary that will chronicle his life and longstanding Guinness World Records titles.

Born in Dede, a rural neighborhood of the Derik district, Kosen entered the Guinness World Records in 2009 not only for his height but also for having the world’s largest hands (27.5 centimeters) and feet (36.5 centimeters).

He has protected his record for 16 consecutive years. To date, he has visited more than 500 destinations in 136 countries.

He will arrive in London on Nov. 25 and is expected to remain in the city for about a week, during which an international film production company will film a documentary recounting the story of his life.

Kosen will visit the Guinness World Records Office to have his height measured and his record officially renewed. He will then sign the Guinness World Records book—featuring his entry—at various iconic spots across London.

He said that since first entering the record book in 2009, no one has surpassed his record:

“My hands are the largest in the world; my feet—size 61—are also the world’s largest. Keeping these records for 16 years is a wonderful and proud feeling,” he said.

136 countries visited

Kosen noted that for 16 years he has been constantly traveling and representing Türkiye around the globe.

He added that London is one of the cities he visits the most:

“Over the course of 4–5 days, they will document my life. Then we will visit the Guinness World Records Office. There will also be a signing event for the record book for my followers and fans in London.

“All the details people are curious about in my life will be included in the documentary. We are promoting our country, our beautiful Türkiye. The world already knows Sultan Kosen—now everyone will,” he emphasized.

Kosen also confirmed that he will appear once again in the 2026 edition of the record book, as in previous years, and said his next goal is to visit the few countries he has not yet seen.

He emphasized that he has already traveled to 136 countries and has only a small number left to visit.

Kosen’s global fame keeps new invitations coming

Mehmet Veysi Bora, Kosen’s manager and interpreter, said Kosen’s ongoing record titles have secured him a place in the 2026 edition of the Guinness World Records.

Bora noted that Kosen continues to receive invitations from different countries and for various types of content due to his global recognition.

He also noted that medical teams from leading universities worldwide will conduct health screenings on Kosen and that his case will be the subject of scientific research.
