Fog reduced visibility over the Bosphorus, the strait dividing Istanbul's European and Asian sides, on Monday, prompting ferry operator Sehir Hatlari A.S. to cancel several of its services.

The fog settled over the Bosphorus and surrounding areas during the morning hours.

Due to the reduced visibility, the company said a number of its services would not run until further notice.

Routes affected by cancellations

The affected routes connect districts along the Bosphorus and the Golden Horn, the inlet separating Istanbul's historic peninsula from newer districts to the north. They are: Kadikoy-Kabatas, Kadikoy-Besiktas, Kadikoy-Karakoy-Eminonu, Uskudar-Karakoy-Eminonu, Uskudar-Halic, Kadikoy-Halic, Besiktas-Halic, Kadikoy-Uskudar-Ortakoy, Kadikoy-Besiktas-Istinye-Sariyer, Kucuksu-Besiktas-Kabatas, Uskudar-Asiyan, Arnavutkoy-Eminonu, and Cengelkoy-Eminonu.
