Istanbul's Bosphorus Bridge or the July 15 Martyrs Bridge, one of the city's two suspension bridges spanning the Bosphorus Strait, will be partially closed to traffic on three consecutive nights next week to accommodate filming for a documentary series, the Istanbul Governorship announced.
According to the official press statement, the Anatolian Side to European Side direction of the bridge will be shut to vehicles on the nights of August 3, 4 and 5, 2026, from 1:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. each night. The closures are described as temporary traffic arrangements put in place to allow filming to proceed safely.
The governorship said traffic flow will be diverted to alternative routes during the affected hours and urged drivers to factor the closures into their travel plans to avoid disruption.

The Bosphorus Bridge, officially known as the July 15 Martyrs Bridge, carries particular resonance in Türkiye.
The structure was renamed in 2016 to commemorate the civilians who died on the bridge while resisting the attempted coup on the night of July 15 of that year.
The bridge connects the Anatolian and European sides of Istanbul and is among the most heavily trafficked crossings in the city.
