Türkiye's ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party) Deputy Chairman and Spokesman Omer Celik expressed his belief that achieving a terror-free Türkiye would not only enhance the country's resilience against any political chaos but also serve as an inspiration for the surrounding region.

In a statement posted on social media, Celik emphasized that strengthening the internal front is a reflection of Ankara's will to protect and advance its values and achievements in a world that is increasingly unstable.

Strengthening unity for regional peace

Celik highlighted that the regional impact of this goal would involve rebuilding and updating the brotherhood between the people and states of the region. He added that this effort is crucial in defending the rights of humanity and all the oppressed peoples in the face of those seeking to turn the world into a hell through imperialist wars of division.

"Achieving the terror-free Türkiye goal will not only strengthen our immunity against all types of political chaos projects, but it will also become an inspiration for our close geography," Celik said. "It will create an opportunity to prevent some forces from using terrorist organizations to generate proxy wars, removing the grounds for these groups to create conflict between various ethnic and sectarian groups."

Overcoming provocations

Celik stressed that while steps toward achieving the terror-free Türkiye goal would open up healthier dialogue channels among social and political dynamics in the region, some groups continue to run smear campaigns against this effort.

"We are aware of those who are throwing political smoke bombs and producing provocations to hinder the achievement of this goal," Celik stated. He noted that those leading such campaigns are failing to properly understand the developments in the region and lack a clear political framework or compass to guide them.

He further emphasized that reaching the terror-free Türkiye goal would provide strategic contributions to strengthening the domestic front, giving a powerful political boost to Türkiye’s Republic and its democratic politics. "This will generate opportunities to renew the essence of our citizenship based on the fundamental principles of our Republic," he added.

'State policy' and call for PKK to disarm

Celik also addressed the call made from Imrali for the PKK terrorist organization to disarm and dissolve. He noted that any positive step toward the disarmament of the terrorist group would call for further steps in the right direction.

"Every step will be followed with great care. The process, which began with the historic and strategic call of Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) leader Devlet Bahceli, has become a state policy under the high will of our President," Celik said. He also emphasized that the political dialogue between parties had strengthened the foundation of this process.

Türkiye's approach, based on the principle of "one homeland, one nation, one state, one flag," reflects the national consciousness and state wisdom, Celik concluded.
